When do you need a sworn translation?
Belgian administrations work in French, Dutch or German. Whenever you submit a foreign document, or send a Belgian document abroad, the receiving authority usually asks for a translation it can rely on: one made and signed by a sworn translator, sometimes followed by legalisation of the translator's signature or an apostille.

Send a clear scan or photo of every page through the form. We check the language, the authority and the country the translation is for, because requirements differ, and send a fixed quote. Once you accept, the translation is produced, signed and sealed, then delivered by post, courier or as a scan, with the paper original when the authority requires it.

Is a sworn translation the same as a certified translation?
In Belgium both terms usually describe the same thing: a translation signed by a sworn translator who confirms that it is faithful to the original. Other countries sometimes use different procedures, such as notarised translations, so tell us where the translation will be used and we make sure it fits.
Do you need the original document?
In most cases a good scan is enough. The translation is attached to a copy of the source document. If the authority also requires an apostille or legalisation on the original, we tell you before we start.
How much does a sworn translation cost?
